For those of you who don’t know, OpenOffice is a free replacement for Microsoft Office. That’s a big deal when you consider that a copy of MS Office can set you back 400 bucks. The one problem I’ve had with OpenOffice, especially running under Ubuntu Linux, was that it was downright ugly! The icons were outdated, and didn’t fit with the unified look of my interface. Just the other day, I discovered how to change the icons to the beautiful Tango set. Finally I can stand looking at my word processor while I type in it! I mean, just look at the way cuter version of “Clippy”, and the nice toolbar buttons:
