First off, I’m going to take you guys back a couple years. This was before we went on furlough, so I was about 14. One evening, we were at our mission centre, and there was “English Country Dancing” going on. Now, dancing seemed to me like something only sissies would do. So, when Darren went over and joined in the dances, I teased him mercilessly.
Now, looking back, I realize how much fun I missed! Why? Well, there was another dance on Saturday night, and this time, I wasn’t too “mature” to participate! English Country Dancing is similar to Square Dancing, but more complicated. We’d learn all the steps first, and then try to put it to music. Some of the dances were hard, but there was a guy who knew them all well, and helped us get it right. It was an evening of good, clean fun, and I think everyone enjoyed themselves!
In other news, I’m working on another section of my website, where I’ll have some of the writing I’ve done, and other fun stuff! I’ll be sure to let you all know when it’s ready.

I taught you boy good.
Haha! Sounds like fun!
Dancing is fun. I wish they allowed it at my school. I would love to learn swing dancing or ballroom.
I never knew there was such a thing as “English Country dancing.”
haha, I still prolly wouldn’t do it — guess you’re more mature than me… but we knew that anyway
Maria, do they not even allow square-dancing kind of stuff?
Stephen, why wouldn’t you do it?
Nope. No dancing period. It’s even in the contract I signed when I enrolled.
According to the heads of Northwest, all dancing is bad. But school-endorsed dates are okay…
Sometimes, this place drives me up the wall.
Why wouldn’t I? Because I get embarassed about that kind of thing
Wow, Trevor. The site is really coming along. You should allow comments on your writing. I really liked Hrunto.
Kool, i definitely identify with that. I used to be really embarassed when my mum got me to dance. We do a kind of dancing in Scotland called Ceilidh dancing which i think is sort of like English Country Dancing but maybe a bit more upbeat and fun(of course cos the english can be a bit boring). Recently though i’ve started joining it at Teen Ranch and I’ve really enjoyed myself cos loads of people look silly and it’s really fun but tiring.
