Heylio!

Today was Father’s Day, as I hope most of you know!  I think I hear some “Oh shoot!  Was it really?”’s in the background…  I pity your fathers.  As our gift for our awesome dad this year, each of the rest of us, my brother, sister, mom and I, made one part of our midday Father’s Day meal. For the appetizer, I made Bruchettas, which are pieces of toasted French bread, with a melted mixture of cheese, tomatoes, garlic, and onions on top.  Delicious

My brother made a wonderful caeser salad

Next, was the main course, the one where you eat too much.  My mom’s cullinary creation was Cheesy Brocolli Braid, a filling of ground beef and brocolli surrounded by pastry!

For my sister’s contribution, we had cream-filled beignets (doughnuts) with homemade fudge sauce on top.  Yes, I know they look like hamburgers, but take my word for it, they weren’t.

On the way back from the pool this afternoon, our taxi driver took a different route because the regular one “has too many speedbumps.”  I’ve always thought speedbumps are more fun if you just floor it and close your eyes

Well folks, that’s the way the beignet crumbles.
